Projector Lifts
The First Ever "1 Inch High" Projector Lift
Our new "1 Inch High" Projector lift is the most compact projector lift ever made. The height requirement of the mechanism is literally 1 inch!
The projector is supported and lifted by a 1" thick platform (shelf). This shelf, serves not only to suppot the projector, but also serves as the finished decorative ceiling panel that covers the opening in the ceiling. Available 11/1/09.
We first started motorizing projectors back in the late 1970s, when Barco 3 Gun Projectors were over 3 feet long, 2 feet wide, and weighed in close to 200 pounds! They were beasts! Today, most projectors weigh one tenth that amount and they are quite a bit less noisy too. There is one thing that hasn't changed though, they still need 100% repeatability. They must stop at exactly the same position/location each and every time! All of our projector lifts, the Rack & Pinion models, the Steel Cable models, and the Flat Belt models deliver this same exacting level performance. They simply achieve it in different ways.
Whether your projector weighs 200 lbs. or 20 lbs. we can provide you with a mechanism that will do exactly what you need it to, each and every time! If you need 10 inches of travel, or 20 feet of travel, we can help. We even have a lifting mechanism, for when ceiling joists are running the wrong way, that allows the projector to be stored in the attic facing one direction and then, after it's been lowered down into the room, it swivels the projector 90 degrees to face the screen.
