TV Lift Furniture usually have a "lid" that rises up with the TV. When the TV lowers down into the cabinet the lid settles down into its cut-out in the top of the cabinet. If the lid and its cut-out are back-beveled 20 to 30 degrees, there will be virtually no visible gap when the lid settles into its "docking station".
